Pleasing God

Walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. (Colossians 1:10)

An encouragement to align our lives around a single great principle: Is the way that we’re living pleasing to God? In Genesis 6:8, we’re told that in the ancient world, when wickedness and violence was everywhere, one man decided instead to live in a way pleasing to God. The Message translates the verse in a way that really resonates in my heart: “God liked what he saw in Noah.”

God makes His ways so simple and understanding. After so many years of doing what I think is right I’m learning this vital lesson. Pleasing Him must be our life’s focus and we will have that peace that surpasses our understanding. Blessings!

Wonderful sermon! Please consider a sermon series on this topic, Pleasing God. Each of the 7 ways to please God that you referenced at the end of the sermon could be a sermon. Would love to hear each expanded and explored. Thx!
